Linda Gilbert
Last December, Linda Gilbert was enjoying a quiet walk around her yard when things went terribly wrong. “I didn’t see that slick spot and I fell. I couldn’t get back up and I knew something was wrong. Thankfully, my neighbor heard me calling and was able to get EMS here.”
Linda had broken her hip. She underwent surgery at a local hospital and was told she needed to think about care options after she was discharged from the hospital.
“I was terrified,” Linda remarked. “I live by myself and my children are busy with their own lives. I didn’t want to burden them with caring for me.”

She came up to see me and discussed the Home in Just 10 Days™ program with me and answered all of my questions. They even took care of checking my insurance benefits and making sure everything would be covered.”
Several days later, Linda was discharged from the hospital and arrived at Bayview for her short stay. “From the moment I arrived, everyone was so nice. The therapists came on the first day and we put together a plan to get me home quickly.”
Just nine days after she arrived, Linda was able to return home. “I couldn’t believe how quickly I was able to recover. Getting rehab every day and having folks there to make sure I was doing what I needed to do made a big difference. I’m so glad that I chose Bayview for my rehab.”
